Explore Namibia’s even wilder side. Experience this unknown and untouched West Coast area by bike and extreme off-road 4x4 travel.
The only way to experience this arid landscape in its purest form is by ‘living and surviving’ in it for a couple of days.
If rough could get rougher, this is raw and uncut. Nature at its purest. The beach is scattered with bones and skeletons of many ships, who failed to conquer this mysterious strip of Atlantic Coastline. Thick fog and stormy rough seas with unpredictable currents have left may sailors stranded with hardly any chance of survival.
Daunting with a touch of magic everywhere, one just has to look, explore and live in it for a while.
The dramatic clash of the ice cold Atlantic against the oldest desert’s sand; dust and wind stage the backdrop for a magnificent display of nature in its purest form.
The skeleton coast expedition will transverse many different landscapes from rocky deserts to the mighty ephemeral river systems that carve their way through this ancient landscape. They provide refuge to the desert-adapted elephants, and the last free population of black rhino on the planet. Finally after many rich days of cycling, the expedition will arrive at the Skeleton Coast Park and conclude on the wind swept coastline of the Atlantic Ocean.
This is a cycling adventure out of the ordinary, and one that will leave you feeling privileged to have completed it – if you survive!
